Question by cobieson90: When should we expect ticket sales for the baseball playoffs to start?
I want to score myself some Yankee playoff tickets…i know it’s too soon to tell if they are POSITIVELY ABSOLUTELY in the playoffs, but it’s pretty obvious they are…when should we expect sales? When is the best time to score them?

MLB begins authorizing likely postseason teams to begin ticket sales around mid-September. There is no firm, fixed date, and different teams begin at different times depending on where they are in the standings.

Of course, once they clinch, they have the green light — but most get a bit of a head start.

Keep checking the official MLB.com site for your chosen team, that’ll probably be where the news breaks first.

Question by Le dunce: Are the Blue Jays going to collect all the ticket sales revenue for their series in Philadelphia?
How is that gonna work?
I know the games will all be played under AL rules and that it all goes down like it was in Toronto. I was just wondering about the ticket revenue, because the Phillies are averaging more than 25,000 more fans per game than the Jays are in Toronto. So if the Jays get all ticket sales, thats a huge bonus for them, because essentially they’ll be picking up over 80,000 sales for the series.

yes. i was watching MLB network and this entire game is played just as if the blue jays were home. blue jays stadium gets the revenue. their also counting the stats as if it was a phillies away game. ya know how they have all those weird stats about someone batting this at home? well they are counting it as blue jays home. this whole situation is pretty screwy to me.
